How OnlyOnTrip Uses Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit OnlyOnTrip. They help us remember your preferences, keep you logged in, analyse how the site is used, and show you relevant flight and hotel recommendations. Without cookies, some features such as saved searches, session login, and personalised pricing would not work correctly.
Types of Cookies We Use
- Essential cookies: Required for the site to function. They manage your session, handle login security (JWT tokens), and protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). These cannot be disabled.
- Analytical cookies: Google Analytics cookies track page visits, bounce rate, and user journeys to help us improve the booking experience. These cookies do not identify you personally.
- Marketing cookies: Used to personalise flight and hotel recommendations based on your recent searches. Third-party pixels (Google Ads, Meta) may use these to show relevant ads on other platforms.
- Preference cookies: Remember your settings such as preferred currency, language, and departure city so you don't have to re-enter them on each visit.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can accept or reject non-essential cookies via the cookie consent banner shown on your first visit to OnlyOnTrip. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings — most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent login and booking functions from working correctly. To opt out of analytical tracking specifically, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Third-Party Cookies on OnlyOnTrip
Some third-party services embedded in the OnlyOnTrip platform may set their own cookies. These include Google Analytics (usage tracking), Razorpay (payment security), and Meta Pixel (ad performance measurement). These third parties have their own privacy policies and cookie practices, which are independent of OnlyOnTrip's. We do not control third-party cookie behaviour and encourage you to review the privacy policies of each service if you have concerns about their data practices.
Cookie Retention Periods
- Session cookies: Deleted when you close your browser. Used for login tokens and form security.
- Preference cookies: Retained for 12 months. Used to remember your departure city, currency, and search filters.
- Analytical cookies: Google Analytics cookies are retained for 13–26 months by default. You can shorten this via your Google account settings.
- Marketing cookies: Retained for 30–90 days. Used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.
